"Red Mums" 11x14 oil

I painted this lovely setup at Kaye Franklin's October class. There is a lot of different colors of reds - cadmium red light, alizarin, and Grumbacher red.

My inspiration for this painting was a photo from our Czech Republic '06. In the countryside we found 10 - 12 old wine cellars which were dug into the side of the hill.
