Talavera Pottery 8 x 10

I've always loved Talavera pottery and a few pieces.  Rich colors and interesting designs.I was born in Robstown Texas, a small town outside of Corpus Christi. I love Hispanic influences - touches for the home and food.

"Red Mums" 11x14 oil

I painted this lovely setup at Kaye Franklin's October class. There is a lot of different colors of reds - cadmium red light, alizarin, and Grumbacher red.

"Blue Door" 16x20 Oil

My inspiration for this painting was a photo from our Czech Republic '06. In the countryside we found 10 - 12 old wine cellars which were dug into the side of the hill.

I really enjoyed Kaye Franklin's Granbury workshop last week. This is one of the pieces I painted in pastels.
