During the past two years I've been asked if I teach art lessons. My response was "No" because I was concentrating on painting for two solo shows. Opportunity knocked again - my show preparation was completed and I thought, "Why not?" So I took the plunge and I now teach weekly lessons in Granbury Texas. I'm truly enjoying teaching and passing along the knowledge from an outstanding still life artist Kaye Franklin. I continue to take lessons from Kaye on a monthly basis.

Christmas in NYC
Christmas in New York City, hmm, where do I begin? First of all, the weather was better in NYC than back home. We combed the city, taking in the Metropolitan, Whitney, & the Modern. John Singer Sargent's work at the Metropolitan was my touchpoint. Monet's one-room exhibit at the Modern was overwhelming.
We walked to the Salmagundi Art Club which began in 1871 & is located in a brownstone on Fifth Avenue. On exhibit was the Miniature Show which showcased artists' paintings during the holiday. So wonderful to take in the heartbeat of local art associations as we travel.
